UNIVERSAL MUFFLERS
The mufflers show below can be adapted to most British models with compatible exhaust pipe diameters. A little forethought and common sense in the selection is required and you should expect to be required to fabricate new mounting brackets in many cases.
Dunstall Decibel Silencers - Genuine Dunstall mufflers are no longer made but we stock 3 copies. All include universal mounting
brackets and are priced as pairs but can be ordered singly.
#M405 Made in England, they fit 1 3/8 and 1 1/2 diameter pipes, are 25 1/4 long, weigh less than 4 1/2 lb. each and appear to be of
very good quality.
#M406 These are identical to the M405s except they fit 1 5/8 and 1 3/4 diameter pipes.
#M403 - Made in Taiwan by Emgo, they are supplied with shims to allow their use on pipes ranging from 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 diameter,
are 27 1/4 long and weigh about 5 3/4 lb. each. The reverse cone is welded on and the seam has been ground off and polished opposed
to being rolled as the British models are. While neither the quality nor durability matches the British units, they are only about half
the price.
Short Megaphone Silencers - We stock several versions of this classic silencer. All are made in England and although they are
priced in pairs, they can be ordered singly.
#M407 - The reverse cone is of polished alloy and removable, the main body is chrome-plated steel. They are 16 long, fit 1 3/8 exhaust pipes, have internal baffles, and are marked for off road use only due to European law.
#M409 - The same as the #M407 except that they fit both 1 3/8 and 1 1/2 exhaust pipes.
#M410 - The same as the #M407 except that they fit 1 5/8 exhaust pipes.
#M402 - These have the reverse cone integral with the body (welded on) Similar to the above models but with a non-removable reverse cone. Fit 1 ½ diameter pipes, have a 3 wide outlet and are about 15 long. -
#M401 - Similar to M402 except the reverse cone is longer, reducing the outlet to 1 1/4 and increasing the overall length to 16 1/2. -

| Gold Star Pattern Mufflers - Very popular in the 60s, these mufflers offer a very period look and unique sound. Designed to be used with a 1 ½ pipes, they are of straight through design but not excessively loud. They are supplied in right & left hand pairs and can be adapted to work on most British twins. - #M400 |  |
The Daytona - A 26 long reverse cone muffler with internal baffling. Fits either 1 3/8 or 1 1/2 exhaust pipes. - #M408
Muffler Clamps - Use a clamp one size larger than the exhaust pipe. Ex. - A 1 ½ pipe needs a 1 5/8 clamp.
